Lightweight tile:
Designed for re-roof, lightweight tiles
very rarely need to do any extra structure support,
with its limited lifetime or life of the structure
warranty, Class A rating, and the rising price
of petroleum based products it is more economical
choice if you consider the total life cycle cost
of the product.

Heavyweight tile:
Less costly and more durable than lightweight
tile. Designed for new construction because trusses
must be reinforced to handle the extra weight
of the product. This also comes with a limited
lifetime or life of the structure warranty, Class
A rating, and is an economical choice compared
to other roof types if you consider the total
life cycle cost of the product.

Cedarlight:
Nicknamed the ultimate shake replacement,
cedarlight is designed for people who love the
look of shake roofs but want the qualities of
a tile roof. Class A fire resistance, limited
lifetime or life of the structure warranty, low
life cycle cost, and could substantially increase
the value of a home.

Slate:
Slate lasts for hundreds of years, with virtually
no maintenance required! With over 60 colors to
mix and match slate roofs offer warmth and elegance,
while giving you outstanding insulation from both
heat and cold. Usually installation involves copper.

Metal:
Lightweight, easy insulation, minimal maintenance,
comes in many different styles with up to 50 year
limited warranty.

Composition:
Comes in a variety of colors and styles.
30-50 year warranty. Will by more expensive over
total life cycle cost of your roof.

Torch:
Designed for flatter roofs. Torch is economical
and easy to install. Average lifespan of 30 years.

Copper:
Will patina over time, clear coats and quick
patinas available upon request. Installed mostly
on detailed areas, trim, flashings, bay windows,
barrel roofs, and turrets.

Shake:
Natural look, lifespan varies between treated
and untreated shakes.

Frequently
Asked Questions
1. Is tile too heavy for
my house?
No, lightweight tile is available which weighs
under 6 lbs. per. sq. ft. It is designed to reroof
your house with out having to reinforce your roof.
(If you have any concernes about your specific
house please contact a building engineer.)
2. Is tile safe in Earthquakes?
Yes, Concrete and clay tiles have been tested
to withstand seismic forces greater than 0.8g
(gravity acceleration) which the Uniform Building
Code requires for building products.
3. Is tile expensive?
No, With the rising cost of petroleum based
products such as asphalt shingles, tile is actually
an economical choice if you consider the life
cycle cost of the product. MonierLifetile carries
a limited lifetime, or life of the structure warranty.
4. Is tile easy to maintain?
Yes, all we recommend is having your tile
roof pressure washed every
couple years to remove any moss or slime buildup
or damming in the valley areas. Replacing a broken
tile is fast and easier than any other roofing
product on the market.
5. Don't all tile roof's
look round and red?
No, round and red is only a traditional color
and style, tile comes in a wide variety of shapes
an colors,
from slate, split shake, and realistic cedar looking
tiles.
6. What is tile made of?
Tile is made of concrete unlike other similar
products that add extra fibers that are susceptible
to moisture and deterioration if not formulated
properly.
7. Does the color of the
tile wear off?
No, Unlike years past when tiles where simply
painted, Nowdays tile is dyed throughout. If a
tile is broken it would be the same color inside
as it is on the outside.
8. Can I walk on my tile
roof?
Yes, but like all concrete products it will
cure with age, we ask that you have a professional
that are trained where and how to walk on your
roof properly to do any servicing that you need.
9. Can weather cause the
tile to crack or break?
No, Tiles are designed to handle any expanding
and contracting that may happen when a roof heats
up and cools down.
10. Is there anything I
can do to keep my copper roof from changing color?
Yes, We offer chemicals such clear coating
which will keep your copper looking as new as
the day it was installed, or a petina that will
instantly change the copper to the aged rough
green look similar to what you will find on an
old penny. We even do copper
texturing such as a hammered or crushed look.

Safety First
This is an area normally viewed
by general contractors, architects, designers,
and homeowners. This section contains information
on safety code, commercial projects, and building
material that we use.
At Tile Pro
Roofing Inc. our customer and fellow builders’
safety is our first priority. Tile Pros
abides by all rules instructed upon us by OSHA
and WISHA. This includes tying ladder off
3 feet above fascia, wearing safety equipment
on everything 10 feet and over, posting signs,
and roping off all trash fall down areas.
On all commercial
jobs we take the extra step to insure there are
no accidents. In an area of high traffic
we work on off hours to insure the risk of an
accident is minimal. Although most
of our work is residential we do work on commercial
jobs when it is called upon.
