Copper Applications/Enhancements
Click here for Pictures of Copper Applications

Copper enhancements take a well-designed roof and highlight its natural features.  It is amazing how these final touches will dramatically improve on its appearance.  This is truly the way to set your roof apart from the neighborhood.  Click on "Pictures of Copper Applications" to see some of the ways Copper may be used to enhance the roof's beauty.

We have included some brief descriptions of different styles of Copper Applications.

Clear Coat:
Clear coat is paint similar to what you would find on an automobile, it protects the surface from any aging. With clearcoat your copper will look as new years from now, as it does the day it was installed.

Patina:
Patina is a chemical used to speed up the aging process, in minutes your copper will turn a rough green similar to what you would find on an old penny, it would take years for your copper to achieve this look naturally.

Hammered:
The hammered look is a method of texturing the copper to look like it has hundreds of round bumps. This technique takes years to master so it looks random and professional without looking like it was in a bad accident. At Tile Pro’s we have mastered this look so we can give you a quality product that looks great.

Crushed:
Gives the copper a more natural appeal. We can combine the crushed and the hammered techniques to give you a copper display that is hard to find and stands out from other flat regular copper displays.

Chimney Caps:
These are custom made to any Chimney size.  Copper Chimney Caps are quite beautiful.  We are your Copper applications specialist.

Gutters:
We make custom 5k & 6k half round copper gutter for any house. These come with copper end caps, hangers, connectors, and downspouts.

Scuppers:
Scupper are an option for your gutter that give your downspouts an architectural look. These come in many different designs, all that beautiful.

Bay windows:
Custom standing seem bay windows have the option of swooping or a straight look. You can add any coating and/or textures.

Barrels:
Custom Barrels use the standing seem method. Comes with the option of any textures and/or coating.

Turrets:
Custom standing seem turrets can also come this any coating and/or texturing option.

Custom projects:
Tile Pro Roofing’s trained copper professionals can pretty much do any sheet metal project in elegant, long lasting copper.

Maintenance/Endurance
Though copper has a higher cost initially, properly installed copper roofing and flashings last a lifetime with little or no maintenance. Copper is also resistant to fire and to corrosion from severe weather or industrial conditions.

Appearance
Copper is best known for its patinated green color. After installation, copper will turn from its shiny salmon color through various shades of bronze and hues of green before reaching its final patina, the familiar green color. This process can take 25-30 years.

Materials/Planning
The use of copper in architecture is a complicated process. Copper is available in red or plain, and light green pre-patinated as well as many different weights and tempers. The copper product selected for a particular application must take into careful consideration the structural requirements, location, and conditions of the building.
